bulletWildstang Robot Building process Road map

  • Concept & Design
    • Brainstorm and gather initial ideas from wildstang team members.
    • Go through process of elimination for "realistic" and "un-realistic" ideas.
    • Take all the realistic and practical ideas and create a design for the robot.
    • Consider all components that go into the design (mechanical, electrical, software, strategy, and feasibility study)
    • Make our designs from Inventor tool and ProE software.
  • Prototype
    • Build the prototype to familiarize ourselves with a functional model, and to test all of its features prior to building the actual robot.
  • Building the Actual Robot and Testing
    • At this point, we used what we learned from the prototype and built the actual robot.
    • Go through series of testing on the robot.
    • Perform different stress test cases on the playing field against other robots at Wildstang invitational.
  • Post Production Process
    • Now that we have the actual model we perform series of post production process such as testing and analysis. We have test cases from each of the engineering category.
  • Shipping the Robot
    • We congratulate ourselves and celebrate the completion of the robot and finally get ready for the competition.
