Game Analysis

For 2003, FIRST came up with a unique and challenging game. The robot could perform the following things during the competition. It has to be able to stack bins, move quickly from one side to another, or move under the steel rail on either side of the ramp to steel bins from the opponent's side. Robot can also be the "king of the hill" on the ramp to score more points. In addition to this there is also a new autonomous mode in which the robot has to move around the field without driver control.

How the game works:

This year there are a lot of complex rules. There is a video (this opens in a new window) produced by FIRST that explains all of the rules. The robot will score points depending on how many stacks and how tall its highest stack is. The robot also gets points depending on where it is at the end of the competition.
