Outreach within FIRST and the D214 community has long been one of the cornerstones of WildStang. Our extensive outreach is one of the main reasons that we were recognized with the FIRST Chairman’s Award in 2006 and placed into the FIRST Hall of Fame. And we continue find new ways to give back to our communities.
Several weeks ago, all WildStang Team Members met to brainstorm ideas for our community outreach project for this year. The teams top choice this year was to volunteer for Feed My Starving Children.
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.
Donations fund the meal ingredients. Volunteers hand-pack the meals and the Meals are donated to FMSC food partners around the world, where kids are fed and lives are saved.
WildStang is volunteering fund & pack meals for one and half hours, starting at 8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 14th. WildStang Team members are strongly encouraged to attend. Parents, family & friends are invited participate as well. We are also asking that all team members and everyone else that participates, donates $5.00 to $20.00 to cover the costs of the meals packed by the team.
All students and any additional Family members attending will need to register here.
Your Donations of $5.00 to $20.00 per person should can be brought to the next team meeting on November 1st. If paying by check, make payable to FMSC. Place cash or checks in an envelope with your name and FMSC on the outside and drop in to the Payment Box in the Workshop.
FMSC is located at 1072 National Parkway, Schaumburg IL.
This will be a great chance for a team to be together outside of the class room & workshop and give back to the community.
