This past weekend, WildStang collaborated with Yoji and Laurie Shimizu from FRC Team 1816, The Green Machine. At this meeting they led us through insightful conversations about developing our core values and mission statement. We did this through fun team bonding activities and discussions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

When it came to the end of the retreat, everyone was in agreement that this was a beneficial gathering for WildStang. \u201cThe most beneficial thing for myself would have to have been working with people I have never met before like the seniors,\u201d said freshman Erin F. Another student, senior Joel S. said, \u201cI really learned how the team can come together to achieve our goals. I learned how we can choose our own core values and we can decide and debate about decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n

WildStang Robotics came out of the retreat with a foundation for our core values and mission statement that will be released when finalized. Senior Paul C., summarized this by saying: \u201cWhen we have our own values and mission statement, we become more engaged and willing to do what we have to do.\u201d To sum up, our 2019 fall retreat allowed our students, mentors, and coaches alike to not only bring our team together, but also give a basis of expectations for the season.<\/p>\n
