In the aftermath of an exhilarating Midwest Regional, the WildStang Robotics Program has been hard at work in preparation for the upcoming Seven Rivers Regional. Continue reading to learn more about what each subteam has been up to!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This past week, WildStang\u2019s mechanical subteam has been fixing the robot\u2019s swerve modules. The subteam has decided to add additional tension to the arm mechanism, so the arm won\u2019t bend; a majority of the arm has been redone and reworked this past week. Additionally, the mechanical subteam has opted to move an encoder in the robot to a new location (an encoder keeps track of how many rotations\/what position a motor is in).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Plus One\u2019s mechanical subteam worked on putting mecanum wheels on the intake mechanism this week. The subteam is continuing to redesign the intake to be wider so there will be fewer errors in collecting cubes. Additionally, the mechanical subteam has been working with the electrical subteam to make significant improvements to the claw mechanism such as adding springs to the back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

111\u2019s electrical subteam has been working on the #TeamREV SparkMax motor controllers. The use of the REV SparkMaxes has allowed the robot to function at its highest efficiency. The electrical subteam has also been collaborating with the 111 mechanical subteam in working on the robot\u2019s arm mechanism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WildStang\u2019s software subteam has added an additional LimeLight camera to the robot! The added camera joins the already installed camera on the front of the robot; these two cameras help with the robot\u2019s aim when scoring game pieces. The cameras allow for more visibility and a more consistent and efficient robot.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

112\u2019s software subteam has been reviewing previous code and looking for possible errors in order to improve the code for the Seven Rivers Regional! The subteam has also spent substantial time debugging the autonomous programming to ensure the robot will operate at maximum efficiency during autonomous.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

WildStang and Plus One\u2019s joint communications team has made blog posts on the WildStang website to keep all team members updated. The subteam has also started creating the buttons which will be available at the Seven Rivers Regional. Communications has also begun working on pit awards which will be given to outstanding teams at the Seven Rivers Competition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Strategy this past week has been hard at work reviewing matches from the Midwest Regional! Using WildRank\u2019s data from the qualification matches, the subteam has been evaluating every team and how they performed at the competition. They had also been pre-scouting in preparation for the Seven Rivers Regional, watching matches of teams from earlier competitions as well as matches from previous years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
