WildStang, along with the 31 other competing teams are part of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FIRST Robotics Competition. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;FRC is an international high school <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">robotics<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> competition, where teams of high school students, coaches, and mentors work during a six-week period to build game-playing robots.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0475.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-655\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0475-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0475-300x169.png 300w, http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0475-768x433.png 768w, http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0475.png 950w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/span>Following the morning qualifying matches, WildStang finished with a 3 &amp; 3 record, winning their last 2 matches with decisive wins, with a qualifying ranking of 16th. Other competitors could see what WildStang had to offer, and the team was picked by the 6th seed, Team 1792, Round Table Robotics, during alliance selection. The alliance was completed with teams 167, Children of the Corn, and 5934, Crowbotics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Quarterfinals, WildStang and their 6th Ranked Alliance Partners, went up against the 3rd Ranked Alliance, winning the best of 3 matches, taking the last 2 matches. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Semifinals, WildStang went up against the 2nd ranked alliance. By winning the first two matches, they advanced to the Event Finals. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the Tournament Finals, Wildstang and their alliance partners competed against the 4th seeded alliance, composed of the Alliance Captain, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Team 2450, PWNAGE; Team 4655, Stateline Robotics; Team 96, Iron Lions; and Team 81, MetalHeads. Wildstang and their partners won the first match of the finals, 342 to 246. In the 2nd, match, they won again, 412 to 201, taking the event championship.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0505.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-658 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0505.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1181\" height=\"488\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0505.png 1181w, http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0505-300x124.png 300w, http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0505-768x317.png 768w, http:\/\/www.wildstang.org\/ws_wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/IMG_0505-1024x423.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1181px) 100vw, 1181px\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was the first event win for WildStang since 2013. WildStang Robotics has students from all six district 214 schools, and has been competing in the FIRST Robotics Competition since 1996.
