WildStang Robotics Program: 2024–2025 Competition Season Highlights
WRSA is excited to share the key events and competitions for the WildStang Robotics Program this school year. The WRSA Board worked diligently with Sponsors, D214, parents and friends to fundraise to make this season a success. As a result, our students, coaches, and mentors were able to work diligently to execute an action-packed and successful season!
Off-Season Competition

WildStang participated in this exciting off-season event, competing with teams from across the Midwest in the 2024 FRC game, Crescendo.
Major Competitions
Northern Lights Regional
📍 Duluth Entertainment Convention Center, Duluth, MN
🗓️ February 26 – March 1, 2025
In their first visit to this event, WildStang (Team 111) emerged as the Regional Winners, captaining Alliance 2 alongside teams 2240 (Brute Force) and 5253 (Bigfork Backwoods Bots), with backup from 4360 (Spudnik). The team also earned the Autonomous Award for their outstanding performance.
FRC Midwest Regional
📍 Forest View Educational Center, Arlington Heights, IL
🗓️ March 26–29, 2025
WildStang (Team 111) continued their strong performance by winning the Midwest Regional. They captained the winning alliance, which included teams 2338 (Gear It Forward) and 8029
(Steel Bronco Robotics). The Alliance 1 secured victory in a thrilling final tiebreaker match with a score of 213–153. Additionally, WildStang received the Autonomous Award, further solidifying their excellence this season. Not to be ignored Plus 1 (Team 112) who made it into semi-finals in Alliance 7 and was quite close from making it to the Finals as well.
FIRST Championship
📍 George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, TX

WildStang delivered a phenomenal performance at the world stage:
• Quals Record: 9-1-0
• Rank: 4th overall in the Johnson Division
• Alliance 4 Captain during playoffs
• Playoff Record: 2-2
• Award: Autonomous Award
Their consistency in autonomous mode and high placement in qualification rounds demonstrated elite competitiveness.
